Initial Announcement of the event

With our successful completion of Winter Workshop 2020, focused in career in industry, ANPA is proud to announce our next workshop on “Career in Academia”. The workshop is scheduled on May 22, 2021, virtually at 8:00 – 10:00 pm US EST. This member-only events will feature presentations by professors who are currently in the different stage of their professional careers. The program will be moderated by Dr. Parashu Kharel, Associate Professor from South Dakota State University. Dr. Mim Lal Nakarmi, Associate Professor from Brooklyn College, Dr. Nirmal J. Ghimire, Assistance Professor from George Mason University, Dr. Roshani Silwal, Assistance Professor from Appalachian State University, and Dr. Tula Ram Paudel, Assistant Professor from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology will serve as panelists. Moderator and panelists will share their experience on job search strategies, application preparations, remote and onsite interview preparations, and once the job is offered what are the negotiating terms in terms of startup funding in research universities and teaching strategies in community and four-year colleges.  The program will be very useful for those who are interested in a career in academia.
