Welcome to the website of the Association of Nepali Physicists in America (ANPA). We hope you find this site valuable, no matter where you are in your career.
Founded in January 2018, ANPA aims to create a strong network among physicists of Nepali origin to support professional development and share knowledge through activities like conferences, seminars, workshops, and publications. Since our inception, we have been actively serving the community and expanding our reach. As the current president, I want to extend my gratitude to previous executive board members and all volunteers who have contributed to establishing and nurturing ANPA to this level.
Under current executive committee, we are committed to advancing the initiatives started previously while also introducing new activities. Our plans include continuing our monthly talk series, computing workshops, and annual scientific conferences with a focus on enhancing their quality. We also aim to continue programs, such as educational interactions among physics faculty to improve teaching, career exploration workshops in academia and industry, professional writing skills workshops, research proposal writing, job search preparation, and pedagogy for physics teachers.
These initiatives are designed to benefit a wide audience, including university faculty, industry scientists, young professionals, and graduate students. We will continue to support students presenting their research at national and international conferences, and we are planning educational outreach programs for our members and their families during the summer.
ANPA is a member-driven, volunteer-run organization. We encourage you to support the society by becoming a member, volunteering, donation or proposing and coordinating new activities.
Thank you for your support!
Pashupati Dhakal, PhD
President, ANPA 2024-2026
