Dear Colleagues, Members, and Friends,
Welcome to the Association of Nepali Physicists in America (ANPA). It is a privilege to serve as President of an organization built on the shared vision of connecting physicists of Nepali origin across the globe, advancing scientific excellence, and inspiring the next generation of researchers and educators. Since its founding in 2018, ANPA has grown into a vibrant community that fosters collaboration, mentorship, professional development, and lifelong connections among physicists working in academia, industry, government laboratories, and education. I extend my sincere gratitude to our founders, past presidents, executive committees, volunteers, and members whose dedication has established a strong foundation for ANPA. Their commitment has enabled our organization to become an active platform for scientific exchange and professional growth. As we move forward, our Executive Committee is committed to building upon these accomplishments while expanding opportunities for our members and students. During this term, we will focus on five strategic priorities:

  •  Advance scientific collaboration through high-quality colloquia, conferences, and interdisciplinary research initiatives.
  •  Strengthen mentorship and career development for undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career professionals.
  • Enhance physics education by promoting innovative teaching practices, educational research, and professional development for educators.
  •  Expand outreach and community engagement through computing workshops, public science programs, and activities that inspire future generations of scientists.
  • Grow and strengthen our global network by increasing member engagement, fostering international partnerships, and encouraging collaboration among physicists in Nepal and around the world.

ANPA is a member-driven, volunteer-powered organization. The success of our mission depends on the ideas, expertise, and dedication of our members. Whether you contribute by volunteering, organizing scientific programs, mentoring students, serving on committees, or supporting our initiatives through membership and donations, your involvement makes a lasting impact.

I encourage each of you to actively participate in ANPA’s programs, share your expertise,  and help us build an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative scientific community.

With warm regards,

Santosh KC, Ph.D.
President, ANPA
